Professional background:

 I got my PhD degree in Physics (2007, Complutense University of Madrid) and am a Tenured Scientist at IGEO-CSIC since 2017. My research (h-index 25, WOS) focuses on the study of climate variability and climate change from synoptic to paleoclimatic scales, with special interest in the large-scale atmospheric circulation, including: 1) synoptic climatology (blocking, weather regimes), 2) extreme events (heat waves, droughts), 3) historical climate and paleoclimate of the last millennium, 4) stratosphere-troposphere variability and coupling
