Perfil profesional

My PHD Thesis in 1988 dealt with the structure and evolution of two Iberian alpine ranges (the Central System and the Iberian Chain), I also developed an original methodology about analysis of fault populations that it is still used nowadays. Since then my research has focused on Structural Geology and Tectonics of the Iberian Peninsula. I have directed six Doctoral Theses, and among my doctoral students four are currently three university professors, one IGME researcher and the rest in the industry. I am researcher of the Consolidated Research Group of the UCM «Applied Tectonophysics» (910342), whose lines of research are Geophysics, Tectonics and Marine Geology.
